A giant boxer is making waves as he prepares for his next match.

Bleacher Report wrote that Taishan Dong, a boxer from China, stands seven feet tall thus given the nickname "The Great Wall" because of his massive size and height, reminding boxing fans of a fictional superior specimen, Ivan Drago.

Dong is a former kickboxer and is currently training in America to try and dominate the heavyweight division. Since his debut in the boxing ring in July 2014, he has a 2-0 record, winning both matches by knockout.

In the video shown by Bleacher Report, Dong's coach said that the hulking boxer is the strongest he has ever seen. Dong has an arm reach of 84 inches. Aside from his extreme height, he also weighs 286 pounds. He has no previous amateur boxing experience but was signed by Golden Boy Promotions.

Oscar de la Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions said in a report by The Sweet Science, "He's the biggest fighter that anyone has seen in the ring and he has talent."

Dong said, "Mr. (Oscar) de la Hoya wanted to open the Chinese market 'cause he believes in me, he knows I can become a champ."

He added, "I would love to see more Chinese boxers coming to the U.S. to show their talent, to see the best of both countries."

Courier Mail reported that Dong himself upon reaching the top of Mount Tai in China when he was only 20 years old, "I can be great, I can be huge, and one day people will look up to me with admiration, just like Mount Tai."

The 26-year-old started playing basketball and kickboxing during his younger years. Later, he gave up basketball to focus on fighting.

He said about his attitude in the ring, "I don't get nervous before a boxing match. I focus and ponder on the strategy to follow, what I need to do in order to beat my opponent. I chose boxing because it's a challenge for me, and I love challenges."

Dong explained in the same report by Courier Mail, "George (Gallegos, his agent) has been the most helpful so far. Although I miss China, the will of succeeding in the US is stronger. I reckon I still have three years or so to reach my highest level and after that I can go back to my country as a champion, knowing that I made it."

Dong is set to fight Roy McCrary (3-2, 2 KO) next on February 27.
