The reports are true, then. Filming for the fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean" is indeed underway, as evidenced by lead star Johnny Depp's presence in the Land Down Under.

Recently, he was spotted at The Foo Fighters' concert in Brisbane. And he was wearing his Captain Jack Sparrow makeup, at that. Did he just come off from shooting a couple of scenes or did he find the look rock concert-appropriate?

"The Hollywood A-lister was seen in an Instagram shot with Gold Coast based fishing crew The Mad Hueys, who wrote: 'At the foo fighters concert ran into Johnny Depp , had the black pearl parked in the valley!'" MailOnline reported.

"Johnny, as much of a hit at the concert as the Foo Fighters itself, was also seen with a band member from the night's opening act, The Delta Riggs," the publication added.

The newly-married actor was sporting bandanas that could very well pass Captain Jack's tastes and wore eyeliner. However, "he looked like less of a swashbuckler from the neck down, wearing a jeans and a grey polo underneath a navy jacket."

The 51-year-old arrived Thursday in Brisbane in preparation for the filming of "Pirates 5."

Meanwhile, co-star Orlando Bloom has been spotted catching a flight at the LAX Airport Monday this week, according to Just Jared.

"Orlando is about to start work on his highly anticipated film 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,' which just completed its first week of filming last week," the site said.

Perhaps we'll be seeing both actors keep each other company while in Australia during their free time?

Further, MailOnline has also reported that a pirate ship used on the "Pirates" set in Queensland "has been strategically hidden behind large shipping containers."

"Fitted with copious amounts of ropes hung from the top of the sails down to the bottom of the deck, two golden statues sitting back to back and holding bidents are mounted at the front of the boat," the publication described.

Could this be the Black Pearl?

It has been confirmed that Aussie actor Geoffrey Rush will reprise his role as Hector Barbossa, while Javier Bardem will be playing the sequel's villain, Captain Salazar.

"The new film sees Captain Jack Sparrow be pursued by an old rival, Salazar, as the evil enemy who along with his ghost pirate crew has escaped from the Bermuda Triangle and vows to kill every pirate at sea," the news source said.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will arrive in theaters July 2017.
