Apple could be releasing its latest iPad line this coming April, News Everyday reported.

It was also speculated that it will be released together with the new iPad Pro. If Apple will follow its history for launching iPad lines, the market can expect the release late this year, around October.

However, more reports have suggested that the iPad Mini 4 could come earlier. If not April, Apple could push for a June release.

Another report form the Christian Times suggested a similar timeline of a June to July release this year.

In terms of specs, the tech industry is expecting a lot from the new iPad Mini 4, considering its predecessors "disappointment" as it only added a finger print sensor and a new gold color alternative, according to News Everyday.

iPad Mini 3's minimal update could also be the reason why Apple could release the new tablet sooner than the traditional dates. According to PC Advisor, Apple could move the launch to provide a "proper" update to the iPad Mini line.

iPad Mini 4 is expected to boast a lot of improvements including an A8X processor. It is reported that the new phone will be somehow similar to the iPad Air. So, the iPad Mini 4 could have a similar thinness with the iPad Air and could also use a laminated screen.

If this is correct, this would be a great improvement for the iPad Mini. As PC Advisor stated, it is not only the "reduced thickness" but also the ability to cut down "on internal reflections" and the overall "more solid" feel of the tablet, that makes it highly-anticipated.

Additionally, another enhancement could be the anti-reflective screen coating which was not implemented on the iPad Mini 3.

When it comes to the design, it is possible that the iPad Mini 4 could still look like its predecessors, unless they decide to recreate the curved edges of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which is somewhat unlikely.

Moreover, since the iPad Mini 4 is being patterned from the iPad Air, it will have a 2GB RAM and a supposedly improved battery life. It is expected to be sold at $399, while the Wi-Fi variant could be around $529.

Meanwhile, there are other rumors pointing to Apple depleting almost all the devices of the iPad Mini line, Mac World reported.

It was reported that Apple could pull out the very first iPad Mini and the iPad Mini 3, but would retain the iPad Mini 2 and the new iPad Mini 4.
