Bandai Namco Games has unveiled the opening video for the much awaited "Tekken 7" game. Watch it here:

The less than two-minute clip features main characters Kazuya Mishima and Heihachi Mishima fighting while on top of a fiery volcano. We first see Heihachi Mishima coming out speaking Japanese of "Let's settle this."

Kazuya Mishima responded "It's time for you to meet your end!" in Japanese. As the battle starts we see lava splattering around and a lightning strike in the sky. We then witness a brutal battle between the two.

We see Heihachi Mishima win over Kazuya Mishima. Kazuya, however, falls into sleep and dreams of a woman who is kneeling and praying inside a temple. This woman tells herself that she should stop Heihachi "even if the power consumes and kills her." Kazuya then wakes up even more stronger and more ready to destroy Heihachi.

Master Herald reported that there are speculations that the woman in the video could be Heihachi's daughter. The identity of the woman has not yet been confirmed or announced.

However, a Christian Post report has identified the woman as Kazumi Mishima, a new character in the said game. The news outlet added that the game would focus on how to end the Mishima family feud.

Aside from Kazuya and Heihachi, the game will also include the following characters:

  • Claudio
  • Katarina
  • Lucky Chloe
  • Shaheen
  • Lars
  • Asuka
  • Lili
  • Alisa
  • Xiaoyu
  • Feng
  • Paul
  • Marshall Law
  • Steve
  • Leo
  • Hwoarang
  • King
  • Dragunov
  • Bryan

The official website of "Tekken 7" has just been made available recently. On February 3, "Tekken" game director Katsuhiro Harada, announced on Twitter that the game would officially be released in "mid-March."

Harada's tweet was in response to fans' queries about the game being released this month. Note that it has been reported by Attack of the Fanboy earlier that the arcade version of "Tekken 7" will come out on February 18, as revealed by a Japanese arcade place called Super Nova Fukushima on Twitter. Harada said that the February event is just the pre-launch and that the full launch will be in March.

Master Herald said "Tekken 7" would be a one on one fighting match, and not team-based like the "Tekken Tag Tournament" series. However, two new features -- the Rage Art and Power Crush -- will be introduced in the new game.

In Rage Art, players are allowed to complete several moves which could not be blocked by the opponent. This then gives players more time to stay alive especially when their health bar is already critical.

Meanwhile, the Power Crush lets a gamer to continue attacking its opponent even if you are being hit by your opponent. However, the attacks the gamer is getting are not being blocked thus still causing damage to the player.

"Tekken 7" is also expected to hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after being made available in arcades in Japan.
