The Internet has been abuzz with all sorts of rumors regarding the much-awaited iPod Touch 6th Generation and the most recent one is that Apple is going to launch the improved music device this September. According to Master Herald, the new iPod Touch 6th Generation, which was earlier predicted to come out this March, has faced some delays due to the "unexpectedly high" iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus demand.

The report stressed that Apple is indeed aware of the many raving fans who would really want to see an upgraded music device and of the device's huge potential. It suggested that to make this upcoming iPod Touch take the center stage, Apple has to employ some changes and improvements into it. Though this would be unlikely in terms of its design as it is rumored to get the same classic iPhone 6 design. These iPod Touch 6th Generation rumors only prove that the Cupertino firm would still continue selling iPods despite its dwindling popularity.

The new iPod Touch 6th Generation is expected to be just be like the recently released iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Master Herald says it is believed that the device would come out in two sizes just like these two new iPhones -- a 5.5 inch version and a 4.7-inch variant.

Meanwhile, Christian Today msays the new iPod will also probably get a powerful chip -- maybe an A8 processor chip or the more advanced A9 processor. The news outlet also predicts that the device would have Apple's new mobile payment service, the Apple Pay. Potential buyers could select from a variety of iPod Touch as it would be available on the colors space grey, yellow, blue, red, pink, and silver. There were also speculations that a gold or white version would come out.

Meanwhile, there were also those that say that the rumored iPod Touch 6th Generation would probably not come out since Apple could opt to focus on its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus which make up most of the company's profits. Plus, there is also a question of relevance since the iPod clearly lacks a lot of things compared to the iPhone.

Thus, this is indeed considered a "critical" release for Apple, as Master Herald puts it.  This release could probably make or break the iPod line. To see clearly if this new device would work out, Apple could check how the device actually performs in the market and what do people think about it. They could also check out discussions and threads about it to see how much people want it. Do you think Apple should still pursue its iPod line? Should a 6th Generation of iPod Touch be released?
