'Game of Thrones' Pop Up Restaurant to Open in London

HBO has not run out of surprises for GOT fans, even without George R.R. Martin's help.

Recently, it's been announced that a "Game of Thrones" pop-up restaurant, name d "All Men Must Dine," will be unveiled in London, complete with an epic banquet that has been described as "one of a kind," The Verge said.

"Full details of the banquet are being kept under wraps, but diners are being promised a five-course meal in the style of a 'private, clandestine meeting of the Small Council in King's Landing,'" the site said. "A sample dish from the menu is 'The Lies of Tyrion Lanninster and his Proclaimed Innocence' - helpfully glossed as "Poached Veal Tongue with Beetroot, Horseradish and Oldtown Mustard."

"HBO has enlisted pop-up connoisseurs The Wandering Chef and Grosvenor Mixologists, to create a one-of-a-kind epic banquet taking place over 3 days between Friday 13th and Sunday 15th February at the Andaz, Liverpool Street," announced HBO's site for the event. "Throughout the evening, guests will sample the finest delicacies Westeros has to offer over multiple courses, accompanied by a carefully selected drinks menu of cocktails fit for a King."

The Verge also noted that the duo of cooks preparing the food at the pop-up establishment has previously done similar arrangements, such as the "Heads, Shoulders, Veals and Toes, Veals and Toes" pop-up restaurant.

Sounds intriguing. You may want to book those plane tickets ASAP to check out this banquet. Or you can just join this competition to win a seat. But since the competition has been closed (it ended midnight of February 5^th), you'll need to be among the first to arrive at the restaurant come opening day just to have a look at the special banquet.

The pop-up eatery is in celebration of the hit TV series' fourth season release on DVD and Blu-Ray. The fifth season is slated to begin airing on April 13.

In other news, it's been said that the series is running out of books to refer to for upcoming seasons, as the next edition in "A Song of Ice and Fire" is "unlikely to be published this year," The Telegraph said.

"Martin's UK publisher Jane Johnson confirmed on her Twitter account that the novel isn't on her schedule for 2015, suggesting that fans may have to wait until at least next year for the book's release," the publication explained.

With this, the series is said to be working off the author's notes, plus its own creative additions to the GOT realm, which could be a good thing, according to io9's Rob Bricken.

"Now that the show has no books to work off of, but only GRRM's notes, it has the freedom to do whatever it wants," he said. "It has the characters and the story so far, and showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff can decide what will make the best, most epic conclusion for them."

"I've been even more excited to watch the show now that I have less idea of what's going to happen," he added.
