Paul Bettany is slated to appear as the android The Vision in Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," but if his recent interview is anything to go by, fans and viewers may get to see more of the android in future Marvel films, IGN reported.

The "Mortdecai" actor has been keeping mum on how big a part The Vision will be playing in the upcoming "Avengers" sequel film. However, during a recent interview, he shared a few details about what it's like to play the android and the possibility of appearing in more films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During an exclusive interview with News, Bettany spoke about his many roles, including voicing JARVIS, Tony Stark a.k.a. Ironman's artificial intelligence computer, and The Vision, who is an android created by the film's villainous Ultron. He hinted that the latter in particular was actually a recurring role thanks to Marvel's plans.

"I have never known if I have had a job six months out ever in my life, and now I know that they have plans and I can be even more judicious about the stuff that I do outside of that work," he shared.

Bettany even admitted that he actually hadn't watched any of the Marvel films before being cast as The Vision. After finding out his new role, he did his research and watched all the films.

"I realized they are so interlinked and I wanted to understand the universe I was in," he shared.

Bettany also said that working with Marvel and the others for "Age of Ultron" was fun, saying, "Everybody made me feel really at home and I have no bad stories. They are really funny people and really creative."

Bettany will be joining the main cast consisting of Robery Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Christ Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson and more, according to Superhero Hype.

Fans can check out the official trailer, which was released earlier this month, or they can check out the first "Age of Ultron" television spot recently released by Marvel. It features some new snippets and footage never before seen.

Marvel also released the official synopsis of the film:

"When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance.

"As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Avengers: Age of Ultron" will open in theaters Australia on April 24, in the United Kingdom on April 24 and in North America on May 1.
