Liam Neeson returns to fight against a man looking for vengeance in Taken 2, the sequel to the 2008 film.
The latest installment, directed by Olivier Megaton and written by Luc Besson, takes place in Istanbul, Turkey, where Neeson's family is taking a family vacation. However, the father of a kidnapper Neeson's character (Bryan Mills) killed in the original film takes Mills and his wife hostage, and Mills' daughter Kim has to help in their rescue.

The 91-minute film is expected to top this weekend's box office, with a projected $36 to $40 million.
The film so far has generated mixed reviews.
Newhouse News critic Stephen Whitty gave the film 1 out of 5 stars.
He reviewed, "The movie moves quickly enough, and lots of people get killed if you're keeping score (I lost count early on). But an arcade game provides pretty much the same "entertainment" and it's a lot easier on the wallet. And kinder, maybe, to your memories of Liam Neeson."
Ann Hornaday of The Washington Post gave it one star out of four.
She said the sequel is "every bit as clumsy, ham-handed, outlandish and laughable as the original was sleek, tough and efficient."
The New York Post's Lou Lumenick gave it one and a half stars out of four.
He stated the film is "far less exciting and vastly sillier."
The A.V. Club's Keith Phipps gave Taken 2 a C.
Phipps reviewed that the film lacked in" efficiency and relentlessness" that was seen in the original.
He added, "The only real innovation is in making Neeson's adventure a family affair, but that mostly involves making him bark driving instructions at [Maggie Grace (Kim)] as they tear through Istanbul's obstacle-strewn, chase-friendly streets. Otherwise, it's business as usual for the Besson machine, distinguished only by the star working the levers. Neeson's Jason Statham-ization continues apace, but it's looking less and less like a welcome development."
