Will the characters in the "The Last: Naruto the Movie" be included in the next "Naruto Shippuden" game?

Well, it looks like that characters of the said movie will indeed join the soon to be released "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" as it has already been confirmed by Shonen Jump magazine, Explosion reported on Thursday.

These movie characters in the new entry of the series are Naruto, Hinata, Sakura, and Sasuke. The four characters will also be playable.

The release date for the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is set for this year, as confirmed by Game Dev Cyberconnect2's president Hiroshi Matsuyama. His December 15 statement posted on Twitter, when translated into English by Shonen Gamez stated, "Today, it was officially announced! 'Ultimate Ninja Storm 4'! Appearing on the PS4! Not on the PS3. I have completely developed this as a next-generation title. You can experience the demo over the weekend at Jump Festa 2015, so by all means, please try it out! Can you wait for this amazing experience!?"

Aside from that, Explosion also cited a certain Bandai Namco Games Europe community manager who said that the new game will feature the counter system from "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution." The same source also revealed that cross-play will not be supported. The report also noted that the game will also be available on Xbox One and PC. As for the Xbox 360, there is still no word about it.

On its official website, Bandai Namco Games promised that the new game will feature new gen platforms, a "whopping series of beautifully Anime-rendered fights," and an awesome roster of new characters.

Crossmap said that this new game will be the "most comprehensive Naruto game to exist." It even quoted Bandai Namco Games America Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Chris Gilbert saying that the "Ultimate Ninja Storm" series is still one of their most popular franchises to date and they foresee that it would continue especially with the new generation of hardware it used on the new game.

"CyberConnect 2 has always poured their hearts into the Naruto franchise and 'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' promises to be an ultimate realization of the series so far," Gilbert was again quoted as saying.

Bandai Namco Games says that they have already sold over 12 million "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm" games worldwide. The exact release date for the game has yet to be announced. For the meantime, watch the game's official trailer here:
