Numerous reports have come in stating that Apple has already begun beta testing for a new software, the iOS 9, after various analytics software showed searches and clicks being made from a mysterious 9.0 operating system, Daily Mail reported.

Apple released the iOS 8 last year and it's been met with problems and criticisms from users. Because of that, it may not be surprising to some that they are rumored to already be hard at work with a successor that will hopefully top its problematic predecessor.

The reports initially came from a Czech site when tech writer Roman Zavrel sent a report to Macworld talking about the mysterious updated software. According to him, their site's traffic data logged three visits from the 9.0 OS in January.

The team from Macworld checked their own traffic data where they saw that they received ten page views from devices that were running variants of the iOS 9.0, with six recorded visits from the 9.0, three from iOS 9.2 and one from a 9.0.9.

The data was generated from Google Analytics' Browser & OS Section under the Audience section. By searching for the iOS 9 and looking through the most popular versions and rogue pages, the team from Macworld was able to come up with statistics.

They weren't the only ones to be accessed though, as the team from Apple Insider also noted that their traffic data showed visits from the iOS 9, with traffic peaking last week and increasing in number as the weeks passed.

The analytics don't reveal much about what the iOS 9 contains though, so aside from the fact that it's supposedly coming out soon, there's not much information about it, according to Daily Mail. However, Ralph Theodory from Hamburg previously posted a video of what he thought the iOS 9 would contain, such as more customizable options, icons, buttons and menu screens, and possibly a Night Mode.

It remains to be seen if Apple really will deliver such features though.

The news of the iOS 9 is probably not a surprise to some, not just because of the reception of the iOS 8, but also because Apple usually released the iOS annually during the Worldwide Developers Conference. The company would certainly be in trouble if they aren't read for beta testing at this point in time, according to Apple Insider.

This year it will be held sometime in June to August, with previous reports even claiming June 8 to 12 at San Francisco's Moscone Center. The listing has been removed though and the actual date yet to confirmed.
