On Saturday,  the "The CEO Summit" was held in Cartagena, Colombia and Shakira was one of the participating guests.

During the summit, Shakira urged businessmen to participate in "philanthrocapitalism" with the purpose to improve this world and lift it to a better level.

During the conference the pop star expressed her plans to improve this world. She mentioned that the most important factor in making this world a better place was to support education at the early childhood ages because it would eventually become the basis for people to become better in their adulthood.

"For every dollar businessmen contribute to improve education at an early age, $17 will return to their country when these children become adults," she added.

Addressing the audience Shakira said, "In this room there are people with leadership, resources and intelligence. Why not take advantage of all that to yield more resources? Tthere is mounting evidence that education is the best social investment. Investment in the years prior to kindergarten plays a huge role once the child enters adulthood."

Shakira concluded her address by saying, "I want to invite you all to be part of an early childhood movement in the Americas. Let's design a clever strategy together to build education centers, fund programs for children aged zero to six years old. Agencies can all make a difference. "

Philanthrocapitalism derives from the word philanthropy, which means love for humanity.
