Didn't get your hands on a new iPhone 5? Don't worry because Samsung is doing its best to make you feel like your lack of an iPhone might just be the best decision you've ever made. The South Korean-based company is releasing its next ace up its sleeve, the Galaxy Note 2, this coming fall across 260 carriers in 128 markets in the coming months.

That might sound like a lot, but keep in mind that the Galaxy Note 2 will only hit five U.S. carriers this fall when it launches. They include AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular - the same five carriers that helped launch the Galaxy S3 earlier this year. 

Carrier U.S. Cellular has already started taking online pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 2, listing it at $299.99, and stating that it will ship in late October. Samsung made an earlier statement that the Galaxy Note 2 will hit the states in mid-November through the five carriers, and that it would leave price and release dates up to them (which most likely will lead to staggered release dates: expect T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular to be one of the first ones because they do not carry the iPhone 5).


The Galaxy Note 2 will be available in the United Kingdom starting October 1.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 can take its place among one of the most powerful handsets to hit the United States ever. With a quad-core 1.6GHz processor running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a 5.55-inch HD Super AMOLED display, it serves consumers looking for something between a phone and a tablet, a "phablet."

With 4G LTE and a revamped S Pen stylus, the Galaxy Note 2 is sure to be hit. The original Galaxy Note was expected to flop due to its large screen size, but consumers ended up embracing 5.3-inch screen, and it has sold well over 10 million units. Samsung expects the new Galaxy Note 2 to sell three times as fast thanks to the added carriers and reception.
