'Batman vs Superman' Release Date, Cast & Plot: Trailer Out During 'Mad Max' Premiere

Excited for the new "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie? Watch out for its trailer this May!

According to the report of iDigital Times, there have been rumors that the trailer of the much awaited movie will be unveiled during the premiere of the "Mad Max: Fury Road" movie this May 15.

However, The Telegraph emphasized that although the rumors have a strong basis, the date remains unconfirmed as the movie makers have not yet issued an official announcement.

"But the fact that both Dawn of Justice and Fury Road are big, heavily anticipated Warner Bros blockbusters lends some credence to the suggestion," Telegraph's Rebecca Hawkes writes.

Last December, it has been reported that the trailer of the movie was leaked online. Although the video allegedly uploaded on 4chan can no longer be found on the Internet, Movie Pilot gave a glimpse of what has been seen in the leaked trailer. It said that the video starts with a scene from the "Man of Steel" wherein it showed the destruction that took place in the metropolis. It noted that it was Batman or Bruce Wayne, which is played by Ben Affleck, who narrates in the video. Batman airs his doubts on the intentions of Superman, played by Henry Cavill. He then promises to find out if Superman is there to save or destroy people.

Movie Pilot's Austin Saisi said that the leaked trailer might be legit but noted that the official trailer might be released as early as March this year.

The Telegraph also suggested that there is also a possibility that the trailer will be out earlier than May as Batman on Film has revealed in October that the film's teaser has already been completed.

A separate Telegraph report has also revealed that the trailer might be out in December. However, it did not happen, leaving fans disappointed.

The movie has already finished filming, according to the posts of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder and cinematographer Larry Fong.

Aside from Affleck and Cavill, the movie cast also includes Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Holly Hunter, Jason Momoa, Jeremy Irons, Jesse Eisenberg, Laurence Fishburne, and Ray Fisher, Screen Rant said. Jason Momoa is allegedly playing the role of Arthur Curry and Aquaman while Jesse Eisenberg is said to be Lex Luthor. "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" is written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. It will hit the theaters on March 25, 2016.
