The iPhone is currently for sale in nine countries, but an additional 22 countries will be able to purchase it tomorrow, Sept. 28.
During Apple's keynote for the iPhone 5, Apple Inc.'s Vice President Phillip Schiller said the company's aim is to have the latest smartphone distributed in 100 countries and with 240 mobile carriers.

The 22 countries are mostly in Europe with the only non-European country being New Zealand.
The 22 countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
The iPhone 5 features a 4-inch Retina Display screen with 1,136x640 resolution with 326 pixels per inch (ppi). The display has an aluminum black metal case, which according to drop tests have been proven to be durable when falling on the floor. The device is 18 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter compared to the iPhone 4S.
The latest smartphone has the new A6 processor, and according to Apple, the iPhone 5 will run twice as fast compared to the iPhone 4S. Schiller stated the new processor will reduce noise, have a smart filter, and capture photos at a faster rate.
When it comes to the battery, it can withstand up to eight hours of talk time, eight hours of 3G and LTE browsing, 10 hours for Wi-Fi browsing, music for 40 hours, and on standby for 225 hours.
The camera's rear-facing camera will have eight-megapixels with 3,264 x 2,448 backside-illuminated sensor, five-element lens and f/2.4 aperture. The camera will be able to take panoramic views and a new feature to share photos. The panoramic view will be 28-megapixels.
There is also the addition of the Lightning Adapter. The dock connector decreased its pins from 30 to eight and an adapter will help connect it to other 30-in connectors.
