Is the cast of "Glee" getting ready for goodbye?

It had been announced that the sixth season would be the musical comedy TV show's last one. With that being said, it's only fitting that someone sing the "Frozen" soundtrack's hit single "Let It Go." And who better than Lea Michele to sing the year-old track?

"In a new teaser for the sixth and final season Michele belts out a rendition of 'Let It Go' during a fast paced montage depicting her return to McKinley High School," MailOnline said. "In the musical set piece, Lea wears a grey wintry gown as she is surrounded by blue light and an icy background."

This turn of event has been anticipated by Gleeks, as Lea had already teased this scenario back in September, when she tweeted that she would be singing the award-winning song.

"Lea revealed on September 12 what looks to be a set photo with the caption, 'I don't care.. What they're going to say.. Let the storm rage on.. The cold never bothered me anyway...,'" Hollywood Life observed.

As many already know, the song was originally sung by Broadway actress Idina Menzel, who "just so happened to play Rachel's birth mother on the hit show!"

They do look like mother and daughter, don't they? The similarity in their physical features is so apparent, it's not surprising "Glee" producers got Idina to play mother to Lea's character.

This is not the first time that elements of Disney's "Frozen" have been included in a TV show. Fantasy series "Once Upon a Time" had gone as far as featuring the key characters of the hit animated movie in its storyline during its fourth season.

The last season of "Glee" will be launched on January 9, with a double episode at that.

"Ryan Murphy previously hinted at what fans can expect before the final episode, also a double, airs on March 20," MailOnline said. "The plot will centre around Rachel returning home from New York to Ohio some time in the future 'after a humiliating failure.'"

As expected, and seen in the premiere clip, Sue will be "waging a war against the arts in public schools." She could be seen intoning these ominous words: "You two have just entered Thunderdome. You will beg for death."

Sounds like something Gleeks would like to see.

Santana, played by Naya Rivera, and Brittany, played by Heather Morris, will also be back as part of the Cheerios, as seen in the promo video.
