Is the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie a sequel of the "Man of Steel" movie?

According to Comic Book, the much-awaited movie will indeed be a sequel to the "Man of Steel" film. The new film, it said, will serve as a key to unlock issues related to the previous Superman movie. It said that the movie will focus on Clark Kent's journey and how he grew up.

Badass Digest shares the same belief as Comic Book. "I don't want to give you the impression that this is Batman's movie - it's very much a sequel to 'Man of Steel', and it very much follows up on stuff from that movie in big ways," Devin Faraci said in his report published by Badass Digest.

To support these claims, Badass Digest cited screenwriter Chris Terrio's draft script which listed complaints about the previous Superman film and how can these be addressed.

It said that the "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" film starts with the origin of Batman. This then shifts to the Superman/Zod fight after Bruce Wayne went to the Metropolis. After which, the focus again shifts to Superman and his effect to the real world.

"The main action takes place a couple of years after the end of Man of Steel, and Superman has been busy in the meantime, becoming the hero we know and love," it said.

After which, Clark Kent moves in together with Lois Lane while he works for the Daily Planet where he is tasked to write about the Metropolis and Gotham football game.

Undoubtedly, Clark Kent is still affected by the decisions he made when he stopped the Kryptonian invasion, especially when he killed Zod.

According to Collider, "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will address, in a way, the "Superman doesn't kill" criticism. It cited a spoiler that Badass Digest provided. In the movie, Superman will allegedly encounter a "big bad guy." Instead of "snapping his neck," Superman opts to bring him to prison.

Meanwhile, Amy Adams who plays the role of Lois Lane in the movie said that a Lois Lane/Wonder Woman catfight is unlikely to happen in the movie, Daily Mail reported. Amy was quoted in the report saying, "I think that's a male fantasy thing. I don't think that's reality." The actress gave those remarks in an interview with Good Morning America on Monday.

According to Screen Rant, the movie cast list includes Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne and Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent and Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Gal Gadot as Wonderwoman, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry and Aquaman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

The movie is written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, Screen Rant added.

"Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit the theaters on March 25, 2016.
