A new take on NBA signature shoes was featured by a renowned artist.

Earlier in 2014, designer Patso Dimitrov came up with artistic concepts for a few NBA stars' signature shoes, inspired by rap albums. After receiving positive feedback from his previous work, Dimitrov recently released a new batch, following a superhero theme.

In an article by Bleacher Report, Dimitrov first featured the Nike LeBron 12 in an Iron Man colorway. The hyperposite panels were sport yellow while the megafuse upper and shoelaces were sport red, similar to Iron Man's suit tones in the Marvel Comics. The basketball shoes featured an icy outsole while the Swoosh appeared iron grey with an icy outline. The most distinctive trait of the shoe was the lighted energy core at the heel, which is also found on the chest of Iron Man, giving him the source of his powers and life.

Bleacher Report also featured Kevin Durant's signature shoe, the Nike KD 7, inspired by Thor, the God of Thunder, of the Avengers. The shoe featured the colors of a stormy sky, with the lightning pattern at the back second-half of the upper and grey in front. The midsole presented a fusion of red, black and grey tones. The Swoosh was red while the insoles and shoelaces were grey. The Nike Zoom Air unit at the heel also took on a lightning pattern.

LockerDome.com also featured Kobe Bryant's ninth signature shoe, the Nike Kobe 9, in a Magneto colorway. Dubbed, "Magnus", the high top shoe features purple and magenta tones just like the X-Men's main nemesis. The midsole is black and there is a distinct Magneto logo featured at the ankle portion of the shoe.

James Harden's signature shoe, the Nike Run The One, appeared in The Thing-inspired colorway. Dimitrov colored the outsole red, although the rest of the shoe looked like it was carved out of stone in a brown and black-speckled pattern. Thing's face is painted on the side of the upper, based on a report by Sporting News.

Spider-Man is also featured in John Wall's signature shoe, the Adidas J Wall 1. Based on the same article by Bleacher Report, the basketball shoe featured a red, blue and white colorway. John Wall's logo appears in blue. There is a web design on the side of the shoe, giving reference to the web-slinging Marvel superhero.

Behance.net also featured the Jordan XX9 in a Venom-inspired colorway and the Adidas D Rose 5 presented a Dark Knight theme.
