Unlike Taylor Swit, One Direction had opted to let their music stay on the music streaming site. And now, they're reaping a milestone from that decision. They've broken more records on Spotify.

"One Direction has surpassed a billion streams on Spotify, joining Coldplay as only the second British band to accomplish that feat on the streaming music service," Billboard reported. "The boy band reached the milestone last week upon the release of their new album 'Four.'"

Spotify also lauded the group for the fact that the boys' music have been "featured on 20 million playlists and that their signature hit, 'Story of My Life,' is the service's most-streamed track ever, with over 90 million plays worldwide."

This new development is just one of many triumphs that 1D had notch within this week alone. Days ago, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne scored three AMA gongs for their third album. They then went on to break Billboard chart history in the middle of this week by becoming the only group in 58 years to have all four albums debut at the top of the US charts.

However, 1D still has some catching up to do if they want to nab the top spot on the "most streamed artist" list on Spotify. Currently, Eminem occupies the number one position, while the boys are sitting at the number 14 spot. David Guetta is at number 2, while Rihanna is third. Coldplay got the fourth spot while Avicii ranks fifth, The Guardian noted.

"What do One Direction stand to make from a billion streams?" the news source asked. "If Spotify's public payout guideline of between $.0006 and $0.00084 per stream is anything to go by, plays of One Direction's music earned the band and their team between $6m (£3.8m) and $8.4m (£5.3m)."

Not bad. Will this draw Taylor back to the music streaming portal?

Recently, the singing heartthrobs attended and performed at the ARIAs in Australia. Based on a clip showing Liam in a less-than-enthusiastic mood, it looks like the boys are keeping a tight and very busy schedule.

"A hilarious Vine clip taken of the Sydney event shows the 21-year-old looking less than enthusiastic as he morosely stops for selfies with hordes of fans eager to get a moment with the pop star," MailOnline said.

"Looking like he's losing the will to live, Liam methodically makes his way down the barrier, clearly going into autopilot," the publication observed. "With comical timing the Wolverhampton-born songwriter flicks between two faces - brief smile and unhappy resting face - as he grabs camera after camera off the hungry fans pushing against the barriers."

Poor guy - let him have a vacation!
