Fans of ‘The Office’ are just days away from seeing the final season premiere of the NBC comedy. The show, which premieres on September 20, will be focused on Dwight (Rainn Wilson) and may provide the springboard for a new show, tentatively titled ‘The Farm.’

‘The Office’ showrunner Greg Daniels shared some secrets about the upcoming season, which he hopes will once again become the must-see show this fall.

According to Daniels, Andy (Ed Helms) will return this season as the office boss with slightly more confidence. Daniels told TV Line, “David Wallace, who now owns Dunder Mifflin, sends Andy for Outward Bound-leadership training over the summer and he comes back pretty aggressively in charge.”

The show creator also said that fans will see a change in Andy’s relationship with Nellie (Catherine Tate). “At the end of last year, Andy softened and allowed Nellie to stay as Director of Special Projects,” Daniels told TV Line. “But he comes back from Outward Bound with the confidence and desire to torment Nellie for what she did to him last year and make her quit.”

Fans will also meet two new members of the office crew, Daniels said. “Jake [Lacy] and Clark [Duke] play Pete and Clark, two guys in their mid-20s who have been hired to go through the 4,000-plus unanswered customer complaint voicemails that Kelly leaves behind when she goes,” Daniels said. In the sneak peak recently released, fans see that Andy takes the opportunity to make fun of Pete and Clark by giving them the ridiculous nicknames, “Plop” and “Dwight Jr.”

The final season will also feature new members of Dwight’s family as NBC prepares to film the spin-off series called ‘The Farm.’ TV Line reported that the pilot episode of the new show may air as an episode during the final season of ‘The Office.’

As for Dwight’s confirmed family members, Majandra Delfino has been cast as his sister, Fannie, and Blake Garrett will play his nephew, TV Line reported. Mike Schur will also be returning to the show as Dwight’s cousin Mose. According to TV Line, the Dwight-intense final season of ‘The Office’ will also include Thomas Middleditch as his brother Jeb and Matt Jones as his cousin Zeke.

‘The Office’ returns for its final season on September 20 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
