Last week, entertainment news headlines trumpeted Kim Kardashian's latest stunt - appearing on a magazine cover with her upper torso, most notably her backside, uncovered. Or rather, slathered with oil with nary a scrap of cloth to cover the upper half of her body.

Days after Kim's attempt to "break the internet," Jennifer Aniston came forward and said that she was actually first to do a magazine cover of the butt naked kind.

"I was an original, alright? Sorry Kim K," she told Extra jokingly during the "Horrible Bosses 2" premiere.

"That was just innocent. There's nothing aggressive about that," the 45-year-old actress added regarding the tone of her "pioneering" shoot, as quoted by People.

The cover in question is the one Jen did for Rolling Stone back in 1996 - 18 years before the reality star did her much-hyped Paper magazine cover, Time noted.

"Jennifer's modest approach to a nude photo cover definitely laid the foundation for Kim to proudly flaunt her famous assets," Hollywood Life commented.

Meanwhile, MSN Entertainment said that the "Friends" star is actually a fan of Kim.

"'Jen couldn't wait to meet Kim during a recent party. She told Kim that she secretly watches [the show]. She was gushing to Kim about how much she loves her skin and her hair," an insider told the entertainment news source.

The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star, in turn, reportedly told the actress the following: "But you're Jennifer Aniston. It's your hair that's famous!''

Could this rumored mutual admiration be behind Kim's having her own tresses done by celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan in October this year? Chris, as Jennifer's fans may recall, is the person whom the actress entrusts her hair to. In fact, he's responsible for her popular "Rachel" hairstyle, Hollywood Life recalled.

It's well worth noting that Jen's claim didn't mean she was putting the reality star down, as she has "previously defended reality television stars, admitting that although her career path was different, if they want to become famous that way then they should be allowed to," MSN Entertainment said.

"'There's nothing wrong with Kim Kardashian and all those people. If that's how they choose to make a living, more power to them," the soon-to-be-married actress was quoted as saying. ''My line of work is different. I want to entertain people.''

We can't help wondering though: Which cover do you think is better? Kim or Jennifer's?
