Attention "Game of Thrones" fans! Are you excited for the sixth novel of the hit "A Song of Ice and Fire" series? Then here are some spoilers that came directly from its author George R.R. Martin.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Martin revealed that the forthcoming "The Winds of Winter" will highlight two colossal battles, more deaths, betrayals, and weddings.

"I think we're gonna start out with a big smash with the two enormous battles," Martin told the Entertainment Weekly. However, Martin did not reveal who will be battling against who. "We have more deaths, and we have more betrayals. We have more marriages," Martin added.

Latin Times speculated that these battles are the "Siege of Winterfell" and the "Second Siege of Meereen."

According to awoiaf.westeros.org, "Siege of Winterfell" is the unresolved conflict seen in the fifth novel "A Dance with Dragons." In this fifth novel, we saw King Stannis Baratheon attempting to get Winterfell back from the new Warden of the North, Lord Roose Bolton.

In the "A Dance with Dragons," Deepwood Motte was taken by Stannis from the forces of Ramsay Bolton, the bastard son of Lord Roose, for his plans to get Winterfell and Arya Stark back, Latin Times noted. At the end of the novel, it was revealed that Arya, who is set to marry Ramsay, was rescued and was able to leave Winterfell. The rescuer, Mance Rayder, on the other hand, was captured. The next book will start with Theon Greyjoy and Arya going to the Wall and to her half-brother Lord Commander Jon Snow, it added.

Meanwhile, Latin Times said that little has been known about the "Second Siege of Meereen." In a separate report, Latin Times said that this is about the "mounting tension" between Yunkai and Meereen.

Martin also revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the Dothraki will return in the series and that many things will happen at the Walk.

When Entertainment Weekly asked Martin about the possibility of pairing Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen together, he said that the two will definitely cross paths.

"Well, Tyrion and Dany will intersect, in a way, but for much of the book they're still apart...They both have quite large roles to play here. Tyrion has decided that he actually would like to live, for one thing, which he wasn't entirely sure of during the last book, and he's now working toward that end-if he can survive the battle that's breaking out all around him. And Dany has embraced her heritage as a Targaryen and embraced the Targaryen words. So they're both coming home," he was quoted as saying.

To date, it is still unknown when the next book will arrive. But the book, "The World of Ice and Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the Game of Thrones" has already been released last October 28, awoiaf.westeros.org said. It was written by Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson in consultation with Martin.
