After the episode 8 airing on November 23, AMC's "The Walking Dead" Season 5 goes to its mid-season finale on November 30 before taking a break for the holidays.

Typical of the series, it always ends with a bang before it goes on its more than two months Holiday hiatus, notes Zap2it.

A bang in "The Walking Dead" usually means a death or deaths to the series major character or characters, which the smash hit post-apocalyptic drama has made a tradition out of in the last four years.

Melissa McBride, who plays Carol in the series, offered a short but very meaningful tease to Zap2it on how she describes the mid-season finale: heartbreak.

She subsequently consulted the show's publicist to check if her one-word tease was a bit too much for a spoiler.

"What makes you think I know anything about this mid-season finale anyway?" McBride said, attempting to do a reverse from the give-away she just blurted.

"The word 'heartbreak' certainly implies that some more death and mayhem is coming (to the series). The real question is who could be on the chopping block -- or if more than one person could get axed," observes Zap2it.

"'The Walking Dead' is not the only current TV show known for killing off major characters. There's 'Game of Thrones,' 'Downtown Abbey,' 'Grey's Anatomy, and 'Revolution' to name a few. But no other show does it as frequently or ferociously as the hit TV series. The series stands on its own to keep fans guessing about who lives and who dies," details Zap2it, in another report.

It really looks like a major character in the series close to Daryl will make a bloody exit. This hint is based on Comicbook.com which reported that Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl in the series, has said that he cried for an hour just to prepare for the filming of the series' mid-season finale.

Beth and Carol are the two close friends of Daryl in the series. Both are being held captive at Grady Memorial Hospital. Daryl and Rick are planning to attack the site to rescue the two, notes Comicbook.com.

Reedus disclosed that 'there's one scene in the mid-season finale that is so heartbreaking that he had to cry himself out so that he didn't well up during the actual shooting,' cites the report.

"I sat on an apple box with my head between my legs and just brawled for an hour. I really wanted not to tear up during the scene. I wanted to be like I wasted every tear in my body before we started shooting so I just sat there and cried and cried and cried," Reedus said.

"Consider yourself warned and commence freak out now," says Zap2it.
