Will we be seeing champion boxer Manny Pacquiao in the next "Expendables" movie?

Hot on the heels of Pacquiao's recent victory against American boxer Chris Algieri are rumors of him being tapped by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone for the next installment of "The Expendables" movie franchise. Such talks was probably fueled by the fact that both Hollywood stars were at the Cotai Arena of the Venetian Macau in Macau, China to watch the Filipino pugilist battle with Algieri to defend his WBO welterweight belt.

"The two legendary action men were seen attending the Manny Pacquiao-Chris Algieri boxing match in Macau on Sunday afternoon," MailOnline reported. "Both men were dressed well for the event as they each donned black suit jackets."

"The 'Rocky' star made sure to look a bit different from his fellow action movie star as he had pinstripes on his jacket and teamed it with a smart light blue shirt and matching handkerchief," the British publication added.

It appears that the duo did not just sit back and watch Pacquiao beat his opponent - they also paid the eight-division champ a visit in his locker room.

Did Arnie and Sly make their "Expendables" pitch while they were there?

"During Pacquiao's match against Chris Algieri, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger went to Manny Pacquiao's locker room to wish him good luck," Youth Health Mag said. "But someone from Manny Pacquiao's camp affirmed that something more came up, Stallone and Schwarzenegger recruited the Filipino boxer to join the cast of 'The Expendables 4'!"

Who wants to see the champ in the next "Expendables"? Let's hear your opinions in the comments section below, shall we?

If you ask Pacquiao himself, talk has it that the boxer allegedly accepted the offer, which is why the two action icons "left the room with smiles on their faces."

Apparently, based on previous interviews, it appears other "Expendables" stars are actually rooting for Pacquiao to join the roster.

Terry Crews, who has starred in all 3 "Expendables" installments, revealed in an interview with StarTalk's Ricky Lo that it "would be wonderful" to have the PacMan star in the action movie - something which actor and martial arts expert Jean Claude Van Damme also agreed to.

Spin.ph also noted that Stallone had "considered Pacquiao to become part of his star-studded movie 'The Expendables,'" back in 2009. We're not sure why that did not follow through. Will it happen this time around?

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will reportedly play the villain in "The Expendables 4" film, according to KDrama Stars. On the other hand, Pierce Brosnan had earlier confirmed he will be appearing on the upcoming sequel, as reported by The Independent.
