It appears the iPhone 6 attention span has waned with the emergence of iPhone 7 rumors.

Just a month after Apple's latest iterations of its smartphone hit stores and landed in many an excited tech fans' hands, people are already talking about the next model.

"Among devoted Apple followers, there's a general consensus that the iPhone 7-if it's not released as the iPhone 6S, following previous convention-will feature at least a 4.7-in. screen size, which is the size of Apple's iPhone 6," Time said. "There's also the possibility that several features already available on the Apple Watch may make their way to the next iPhone."

One of those "possibilities" is sapphire glass, the super durable material that was previously rumored to be used on the iPhone 6 models.

Macworld also said the upcoming version will have "wireless charging features," which did not come with the current models, although it was speculated to be so. This feature, however, was included in the Apple Watch via inductive charging.

Meanwhile, MailOnline quoted blogger John Gruber as saying that there will be a "big camera jump" for the next Apple smartphone, which will reportedly be unveiled September next year. This timetable is not surprising, given that the tech giant usually announces its latest iPhone iterations during that month.

"The specific thing I heard is that next year's camera might be the biggest camera jump ever," he shared. "I don't even know what sense this makes, but I've heard that it's some kind of weird two-lens system where the back camera uses two lenses and it somehow takes it up into DSLR quality imagery."

The publication went on to say that the Cupertino-based company is not aiming to enable "special effects" with the camera improvement; it's said to "add quality to pictures."

"Another rumor is that Apple could introduce 'sidewall displays,' which allow the screen to curve onto the phone's edges," Time revealed. This bit of news is supported by the fact that Apple had filed a patent that involves "smartphones with flexible displays that can be bent over the edges."

Sounds like the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, don't you think?

The news source also said that prices may range from $650 to $850 off contract, making it the most expensive model yet to roll out of Apple's doors.

One more rumor: it's been also whispered that Apple may probably drop the "S" in naming the next model. This bit of news, has not yet been confirmed, of course.

"Another option is that the iPhone 7 will be called the iPhone Air," the site offered.
