Mark your calendars. Another report has confirmed that the new Sony flagship device will be released in March next year.

According to Air Herald, Sony will unveil its new Xperia Z4 in March 2-5, 2015 during the Mobile World Congress. Air Herald cited unnamed "Sony insiders" in its report. Earlier, Android Origin hinted the same information citing unnamed "trusted sources."

Air Herald also gave a glimpse of what the new device would look like and what features it might possibly have.

It said that Sony is following Apple's footsteps, making the Xperia Z4 larger at 5.5 inch display. It will have a 2560 x 1440 quad HD resolution. Air Herald also claimed that it will be hailed as "one of the highest quality phones on the market for video playback."

To give a better picture of what will the Xperia Z4 would look like, Concept Phones posted a concept image of the device made by Ben Ling in October. You can take a look at the concept image here. This design was described as "presentable" but "bland." Android Origin also said in its report that the Z4 will probably look like its predecessor Sony Xperia Z3. Tech experts suggest that changes will probably be seen in the phone's specs, and not much on the design.

Air Herald revealed that if the Xperia Z3 had a 2.5 GHz quad-core Krait processor, then the Xperia Z4 will probably have an upgrade to 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor.

It will also have an upgraded graphics chip. From Xperia Z3's Andreno 330, it will now be Andreno 430 for the Xperia Z4.

The RAM will also be upgraded to 4 GB from Z2's and Z3's 3 GB.

Sony Z-series phones are known for their 20.7MP cameras. So, the same is also expected in the new flagship device. The catch is this would probably a 1/2.3 inch sensor and LED flash, a 23 mm G Lens, an ISO that can reach up to 12.800 and Exmor RS sensor, Concept Phones revealed. Aside from these, the camera is also built for 8x digital zoom and can do 4K video recording. Meanwhile, the front camera is expected to be upgraded to a 3.2 megapixel, it added.

Air Herald is also eyeing an upgrade in the audio. It said it expects a "high-res audio" and a dedicated amp in the new device.

The Xperia Z4 may also be released with the new Android update, the Android 5.0 Lollipop, as its operating system. If not, it will still have the update soon, Air Herald noted.

Concept Phones revealed that the Sony Xperia Z4 will be 6.5 mm thick and will weigh 150 grams. The new Xperia Z4 will also get an upgrade of its storage capability. The device may have a 32 GB or a 64 GB internal storage, from the 16 GB storage which was in the earlier Xperia phones.

Concept Phones also said that it might also come with a Bluetooth 4.1, Category 6 LTE, and a 3300 mAh battery. It will also be waterproof and dust proof.

Sony has not issued any confirmation or comment on these rumors.
