Reports about which phones will get the Android L 5.0 Lollipop have continuously bombarded the web, a few days after the new operating system has been unveiled.

Earlier, we reported that it was confirmed that the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 will be the first Android devices to get the Lollipop update as these two devices will be released with the new OS installed. Shortly after the release of these two phones, other Nexus phones such as Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 are expected to get the Lollipop update this November 12. How about Samsung users? When do they get the update?

Even if Samsung has not yet released any announcement about the Lollipop update, many speculations and rumors about which phones will get the update have continuously circulated.

According to NDTV Gadgets, Samsung Galaxy S4 users will get the new operating system -- the third major Android update for the device -- next year. This prediction was made, noting of "Google's 18-month update guarantee period." The two previous Android versions which Samsung S4 got earlier include Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Android 4.4 KitKat.

As for the Samsung Galaxy S5, iDigital Times said that the device will probably get the Lollipop update earlier than expected. It predicted that Samsung Galaxy S5 users can get the update as early as November or December. This was seconded by a report from Sam Mobile which claimed that Samsung Galaxy S5 users will get the update anytime this month or next month.

In its report, Sam Mobile enumerated some of the changes that will be seen in the device when using the new Lollipop update.

These include new fingerprint lock screen, new font, and new animations. It also noted that the phone's Android Lollipop base has been upgraded to LRX02E from LRW58J.

Sam Mobile also said that a Google Search bar is now also present in the recents menu. You can also now experience a brighter slider in the notification center with the inclusion of the color yellow. "Interruptions" have also been deleted from the Sound settings. Media in Gallery can now be also sorted using new filters (Pets, Events, Scenery, Documents, Food, Vehicles and Flowers). New UI has been given to the Music folder. Text is now accompanying Navigation bar icons in the Clock folder. Square grids surrounding the numbers and symbols in the Calculator have now been removed.

Sam Mobile added that there is now a new search box in the Contacts folder. Applications inspired by stock material design are now with colored status bar. The green colored icons associated with the new Android Lollipop have also been replaced with blue ones. The Settings folder also got a better UI and new colors for its icons. A new UI has also been given to homescreen. Lastly, the spacing between options in the power off dialog has also been improved.

In a Twitter post dated October 21, Samsung hinted that the Galaxy Note 4 will probably get the Lollipop update soon enough too. The photo showed a Galaxy Note 4 that has a wallpaper of three swirled lollipops. It had the caption, "Anyway you look at it, the #GALAXYNote4 Quad HD Super AMOLED display is pretty sweet. #NoteTheDifference."

According to the Android Soul, other Samsung phones that will get the Lollipop update include Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, Samsung Galaxy K Zoom, and Samsung Galaxy Ace Style.

The Lollipop update will also be available to some Samsung tablets. The tablets to get the updated Android version are Samsung Galaxy Tab S (both the 8.4 and 10.5 inches), Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro (8.4, 10.1, and 12.2), Samsung Galaxy Note Pro (8.8, 10.1, and 12.2), Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (7.0, 8.0, and 10.1), and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition.
