"WWE 2K15" will be released on November 18 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Given the typical hype with launching a widely anticipated video game from an already very successful franchise, rumors, speculations, as well as failed expectations also come with the territory.

Unlike in the versions for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, "WWE 2K15" promises "to be sleeker, more handsome, and more robust" in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, notes Bleacher Report.

The series of videos released by both WWE and 2K gave fans and gamers a glimpse of the impressive graphics and as well as the creation tool that should equate to a multitude of options, notes the report.

"WWE 2K15" shall also feature the same face and body technology used for "NBA 2K14," which was improved further on NBA 2K15," to ensure that character models resemble their real-life counterparts, cites Gamezone.

Despite the hype, critics of the video game are also there to hang around to give their reviews. Bleacher Report, in fact, listed three reviews of "WWE 2K15" and the video game scored an almost dismal rating of 40% to 65%.

Operations Sports, which was one of the three who reviewed the "WWE 2K15" based on its Xbox 360 version, has this to say: "Unfortunately, this year's last-gen offering seems less historical and fun; worse, it seems like a less valuable use of your money."

Gameplay and Roster

Wrestling is still the core of "WWE 2K15" gameplay. The control buttons remain the same for grappling, whips, counters, and strikes. But it certainly is not the most intuitive for the game's newcomers, describes Operations Sports.

The site also thinks that the roster of WWE players is not as impressive as last year which was also noted by a fan tweet who asked: "Why is the roster so weak compared to recent games?"

To which WWE 2K replied "'WWE 2K14' included 30 years of WrestleMania, which added many roster members. 'WWE 2K15' is focusing on the future of WWE, including NXT, but also has many legendary characters, like the debut of Sting."

Gamezone said that the next-gen version of the game shall have an exclusive MyCareer mode, which "take players through the life of a prospective WWE Superstar all the way to the ultimate goal of winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship."

Asked via Twitter by @TheGeekyHusband on the length of MyCareer mode in the game and whether it would just run for one season, WWE 2K responded: "MyCareer can span up to roughly 15 years. Especially if you play through as both a fan favorite or rule breaker!"
