A decade after Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's engagement ended, the "Booty" singer apparently managed to keep the memory of those Bennifer days pretty fresh. J.Lo had recently revealed in an interview that her split from Ben was a significant event for her - and the first of its kind in La Lopez's romantic life, that is.

"It was probably my first big heartbreak," she said. "And to have one of my best friends who I'd known for years, who I actually love and did have chemistry with, come into my life and say, 'I'm here'...," she continued, speaking about ex-husband Marc Anthony's presence in her life soon after the split. "What you need to know is, nobody can save you or heal you. Only you can do that for you," Jennifer was quoted by Mirror as saying.

The Latina beauty had released a memoir called "True Love," where she revealed her side on her failed relationships, particularly that which she had with Ben.

"It felt like my heart had been torn out of my chest. People do lots of things to anesthetize themselves in moments like these. Some people do drugs, some drink and some go out and party," a passage from the book read, according to ET. "I sought out comfort in another person, tried to find someone who could make me feel loved and wanted in my loneliest hours. And that was the moment when Marc reappeared in my life."

Jennifer had since divorced Marc in 2011 and started a relationship with backup dancer Casper Smart. However, that romance fizzled out as well.

"I'm open to love, but right now, I think it's better to just be on my own for a minute and learn more about myself," the "On the Floor" hitmaker mused.

Looks like the singer has learned her lesson and finally gave herself time to take stock of things after the recent breakup.

The singer-actress has been making the rounds drumming up publicity for her memoir, which will be released November 4. She had recently stole the spotlight at the LACMA Art and Film Gala with her fit and fab physique and a flattering Gucci gown with the trademark plunging neckline Jennifer favors wearing, The Huffington Post observed.

Meanwhile, it can be recalled that Ben opened up two years ago about his relationship with J.Lo, saying that people hated him for being Jennifer's guy back then.

"I don't believe I didn't deserve any negative judgment for anything, but it was just way out of whack. ... People decided that I was the frat guy, even though I've never been inside a fraternity, or the guy who beat them up at school, even though that wasn't me at all," Yahoo! quoted the "Batman" actor as saying.

"'He's wanting this much coverage.' That's the most unappealing thing that you can say about somebody," he went on to explain. "And I knew how disastrous it was. It was the last thing I wanted, and I could tell it was damaging me, and I tried to get away from it, but there was still this idea: This is what this guy wants, he's a shallow guy, a camera whore or whatever. And there was no convincing people that that wasn't the case."

Well, at least he had moved on to a more media-friendly Jennifer. He went on to marry Jennifer Garner in 2005 and now has 3 kids and a marriage that appear to be united and happy despite divorce rumors, which reportedly are untrue.
