'Jurassic Park 4' Trailer & Release Date: First Teaser Arrives December?

The official trailer of the newest "Jurassic Park" installment, "Jurassic World," will be released in December instead of November, according to reports.

The Lawyer Herald reported that a source for the "Jurassic Park" fan website said, "I just got word that the theatrical trailer has been pushed back to debut with The Hobbit.  This is for strategic reasons and not because of any actual delay with getting it ready.  Universal is choosing to debut the Fast 7 trailer on Interstellar instead. Whether or not they still choose to debut it online in November, I have no idea."

Fans were disappointed in the delay, as expected, considering that it wasn't shown for the MCM London Comic Con, either. However, the film poster has already been released, and it looked similar yet very different compared to the former "Jurassic Park" posters.

According to Cinema Blend,  the one-sheet poster immediately reminds fans of the old posters, except that it's multi-dimensional.

The website also confirmed that "Jurassic World" is set 22 years after the events of the first movie, opening with the park being open to the public.

The Epoch Times reported that there were conflicts that caused the delay of the trailer release,  a source saying, "From what I hear, once the decision to debut Fast 7 on Interstellar was made, the studio's original course of action was a non-ideal split target where the Jurassic trailer would premiere exclusively on IMAX prints of Interstellar with Fast 7 taking all other screens."

The source also added, "After a lot of back and forth the studio felt such a diluted debut theatrically may be counter intuitive. The final nail in the coffin came when the digital marketing team responsible for getting the trailers up on social media and film blogs objected to debuting two highly-anticipated trailers in the same window effectively splitting the online news coverage."

"World" will premiere on June 12, 2015, starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Irrfan Khan, Judy Greer, and Ty Simpkins, to be directed by Colin Trevorrow.
