How do you know that an upcoming film is among the most awaited of the year?

Easy. It is when the movie is still weeks away from its premiere date, and tickets, which became available for pre-selling last Wednesday, are already starting to sell out like hot pancakes.

According to Hitflix, audiences are excited to see Jennifer Lawrence suit up once again to play Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" and Deadline reports that the film has set its record for advance ticket sales both on Fandango and MovieTickets.com.

The second-to-the-last installment of the franchise will open in three weeks: on November 21, and it has already accounted for over 80% of Fandango's daily ticket sales on the first day alone, as reported by USA Today.

Considering that it's not the best year in films, with "Transformers: Age of Extinction" the current record-holder at only a $100 million opening. "Mockingjay Part 1" on the other hand, is projected to pull in about $130 on opening night.

Projected to be one of the highest-grossing films of 2014, its attendance is still expected to increase considering that advertisement for "Mockingjay Part 1" isn't even on full blast yet.

But as fans wait for another three weeks to watch the film in its entirety, Lionsgate released the final trailer for "Mockingjay Part 1" last Wednesday as tickets for the film became available, and it's as intense as ever. CNN notes that while earlier clips gave a sense of battle with The Capitol, the final trailer emphasized on the stakes and specific threats lobbed in the heroine's way.

Check out the trailer here:

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. It will also star Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Donald Sutherland, and Natalie Dormer. At the helm is "Catching Fire" director Francis Lawrence.
