One week to go before October draws to a close but Xbox Live with Gold subscribers are already looking ahead to the free game on Xbox One for November.

On October 22, Microsoft announced the November updates to the Xbox One. However, the company still did not disclose the name of the free game that it shall be making available for Xbox Live with Gold subscribers for the month, notes Christian Today.

A number of tech and gamings sites have all elaborated on the key features of the November system update to the Xbox One highlighted by background customization and Xbox One's integration with Xbox Live TV and Twitter. However, none of them have alluded nor hinted on the November free game for its Gold subscribers.

Metacritic has listed a total of 16 Xbox One games to be released in November including the highly anticipated video games "Assassin's Creed Unity," "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," and "Grand Theft Auto V."

But Microsoft has yet to officially name which among these 16 Xbox One games will it give out as free to Xbox Live with Gold subscribers.

It is very likely that none of the four much-awaited and high profile video games to be released in November will be given out as free by Microsoft.

The other Xbox One games due for release in November as per the Metacritic list include: "Rabbids Invasion," "The Wolf Among Us," and "Rocksmith 2014 Edition," all with a November 4 release date.

Four other video games will join the November 11 release of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," including "Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham," "Shape Up," "Pro Evolution Soccer 2015" and "Monopoly: Family Fun Pack."

Meanwhile, five video games will also be launched on November 18 along with "Grand Theft Auto V." These include: "Dragon Age: Inquisition," "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition," "Far Cry 4," "WWE 2K15," and "Never Alone."

Two Instead of One Free Game

Product Reviews cited that in October, Microsoft offered "Chariot" for free to gamers of Xbox Live with Gold. These subscribers are hoping that the company sticks to its promise of offering two free games again, hopefully starting November.

"The pressure is (now) on Microsoft to deliver on November 2014 (being) a massive month in the gaming calendar due to the Holiday season," Product Reviews pointed out.

There are suggestions swirling around in the social media that the November free game is "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition."  But the site does not see it that way given the game's stature.

"Minecraft is too high profile to simply be offered for free, plus a $5 upgrade is a bargain price to play the next-gen copy anyway so it wouldn't make sense," opines Product Reviews.
