The "Power Rangers" movie will be kicking its way through theaters come July 22, 2016. As early as now, various spoilers and updates about the film has made the rounds on cybersphere. We've round up 3 major ones, as follows:

The Green Ranger Might Make a Cameo

When asked by Comicbook.com about his involvement in the upcoming reboot, this is what Jason David Frank, who played the Green Ranger/White Ranger in the hit TV series, said: "I probably will be involved. They talked to me about it. I don't know how much I am involved, but for sure cameos at least in the reboot movie."

"You know, we were originally talking about a Green Ranger series, but unfortunately just due to the Lionsgate movie, they don't want to overshadow anything or suppress the appetite of the fans, which is a little disappointing, but there's still possibilities of it," he explained further. "It's just I think they are trying to save...honestly, I think they are trying to save my appearance for the Lionsgate movie."

Liam Hemsworth as the Red Ranger?

Rumor has it that the "Hunger Games" star has been tapped to play the Red Ranger for the reboot. However, there is no official confirmation on this bit of news, which probably spun off and gained a life of its own after MTV drew up a list of stars who may be well suited for the "Power Rangers" cast back in May.

"The Red Ranger is essentially the most red-blooded (get it?), bro-y Power Ranger, and the de facto leader. He's got the good looks, and he's built like a rock. Sounds like a Hemsworth to us," the news source speculated.

Production May Be Delayed

Earlier, it was reported that Roberto Orci will executive produce the movie. However, months later, an update came announcing that he won't be pushing through with the role "due to conflicts with 'Star Trek 3's' production schedule," IGN said. The in-demand producer apparently was also tied to the project.

Although screenwriters Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller, who are credited for doing the screenplay for "X-Men: First Class," remain on board, it's probable that the absence of a producer may slow down the reboot's production momentum. This is especially considering that Orci had promised he won't ruin the movie, as noted by ScreenRant. But will his replacement also take that stand?

Right now, there has been no announcement about Orci's replacement yet. Keep watching this space!
