The October update to Xbox One has yet to fully sink in among users of the next generation gaming console. But here comes Microsoft already brandishing about the November update.

Game Rant detailed that the November update of Xbox One will add a host of updates and features to the console. The most notable among these features are the custom backgrounds and the new and exciting ways to interact with the Xbox - Live TV gaming community.

Microsoft says that the personalization feature of Xbox One, which enable users to create a customized background, is the most requested or sought after by console fans and users, reveals Gamespot.

However, the said update will only be immediately available to Xbox One users who have availed of Xbox One preview program that came with the October updates released last week, reports Xbox Wire.

On October 16, Microsoft officially released the October update to Xbox One highlighted by media server support from the Digital Living Network Alliance as well as better Snap features, notes Game Rant in an earlier report.

The second Game Rant report said that the October update to Xbox One also included new features to Achievements and SmartGlass which basically capitalized on the multi-tasking capabilities of the hardware.

Xbox Wire enumerated the other key features of the November update of Xbox One including:

  1. Gamer Profile - Players now have the option to share his location and bio and browse other people's profiles and their showcase items.
  2. Share Game Clips on Twitter - Game clips can now be shared to the players' followers on Twitter.
  3. Live TV Trending - A new tab will be available in OneGuide to display the top 20 most watched TV shows, updated by the minute. The Trending tab in OneGuide displays the Twitter - Live TV trending and the Xbox - Live TV trending in that order.
  4. View Tweets and Join Twitter Conversation via the MiniGuide - Players can view the actual tweets of the live TV shows in real time and can easily join the Twitter conversation.
  5. Recents and Favorites in Voice-Activated MiniGuide - The MiniGuide can now be activated by voice. It has also been updated to include the users' favorite and recently-viewed TV channels.
  6. Store Improvements - The Store pages has been updated to enable users to quickly browse and find content on Xbox One.
  7. Friends' Game Activity on SmartGlass - Friends, who are fellow users of Xbox One, can now be seen through the Xbox One SmartGlass.
  8. SmartGlass Store Improvements - A new section under Apps, it enables user to easily find and download game apps for Xbox One.
  9. Games with Gold and Deals with Gold on SmartGlass - A special added feature for users with Xbox Live Gold subscription.
  10. Snap IE - Makes it easier to snap from a full screen feature and turn Internet Explorer into snap mode.
  11. Featured Sites - Internet Explorer will prompt the Xbox One user when something new is added to a particular featured site by showing a number. The number becomes the user's badge once he checks out the featured site.
