Taylor Swift is welcoming you to the Big Apple in her new song, "Welcome to New York."

A link that was posted on Tumblr gave fans the chance to listen to Swift's song, but while there is still a week's worth of waiting before the official release of her album, "1989", you can listen to if for free. Check it out:

According to USA Today, the song is about Taylor's move to New York City, which she talked about extensively in a review with Rolling Stone Magazine.

The 24-year-old singer is attempting to replace Jay-Z's Empire State of Mind as the official song of the big apple, and she may have the chance, considering that her welcome to the city is as catchy as it can get.

Hollywood Life described the song as fresh and pop-y, much like most of the songs that were released so far from her latest album. Although there's no deeper message other than a young woman being changed by her move to the iconic city, its pop beat is the type that you can't get out of your head.

In an appearance on Good Morning America, Taylor discussed her new album, noting that she wanted to start if off with something important, which lately meant her big move. She said, "New York has been an important landscape and location for the story of my life in the last couple of years. I dreamt about moving to New York, I obsessed over moving to New York, and then I did it."

Like many others who became in awe of the big city, she took her inspiration from it, adding, "The inspiration that I found in that city is kind of hard to describe and hard to compare to any other force of inspiration I've ever experienced in my life. It's an electric city."

Although the new single just dropped, Taylor first teased the song on Instagram last October 14, with a snippet of the lyrics, paired with the caption, "Track 1 #1989lyrics."

And despite her star status, Taylor is just like any other girl who had her dreams come true by moving into the city that never sleeps. She gushed, "I approached moving there with such wide-eyed optimism, and sort of saw it as a place of endless potential and possibilities, and you can kind of hear that reflected in this music and in this first song, especially."

Sing along to the lyrics here:

Welcome to New York

Walking through a crowd
The village is aglow
Kaleidoscope of loud heartbeats
Under coats
Everybody here wanted something more
Searching for a sound we hadn't heard before
And it said

Welcome to New York
It's been waiting for you
Welcome to New York
Welcome to New York
Welcome to New York
It's been waiting for you
Welcome to New York
Welcome to New York

It's a new soundtrack I could dance to this beat, beat
Forevermore
The lights are so bright
But they never blind me, me
Welcome to New York
It's been waiting for you
Welcome to New York
Welcome to New York

When we first dropped our bags
On apartment floors
Took our broken hearts
Put them in a drawer
Everybody here was someone else before
And you can want who you want
Boys and boys and girls and girls

Welcome to New York
It's been waiting for you
Welcome to New York
Welcome to New York
Welcome to New York
It's been waiting for you
Welcome to New York
Welcome to New York

Like any great love
It keeps you guessing
Like any real love
It's ever changing
Like any true love
It drives you crazy
But you know you wouldn't change Anything, anything, anything...

Welcome to New York
It's been waiting for you
Welcome to New York
Welcome to New York
Welcome to New York
It's been waiting for you
Welcome to New York
Welcome to New York
