Despite Tim Tebow's successful run as a TV host, the former Broncos quarterback has not given up his dream of returning to the NFL. Tim Tebow currently works as a college football analyst for the SEC Network, as well as a contributor to Good Morning America on ABC.

During Tebow's stint in the NFL, he was traded by the Denver Broncos to New York. According to NewYorkJets.com, Tebow had a passing rating of 84.9 in 2012 while playing 12 games with the Jets.

RantSports.com recalled that Tebow only threw eight passes and rushed 32 times for 102 yards for New York. He was released in 2013 to the Patriots after the Jets drafted Geno Smith.

There is an opportunity for the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner to return to the field, as the current quarterbacks of the New York Jets continue to struggle, RantSports added.

Smith and Michael Vick are reportedly, not doing a very good job of facilitating the team's offense. Furthermore, Smith has been getting a lot of negative publicity lately.

RantSports also added in its report that in the game against the Detroit Lions, Smith was fuming and cursed fans as he left the field. He skipped a team meeting and blamed the West Coast time change for it. He also blamed the media for adding to his troubles. Vick, who was supposed to mentor Smith, confessed that he was unprepared when called in during Week 5 in the game against the San Diego Chargers. At this point, Tim Tebow may be more capable than both Jets quarterbacks.

On Thursday Night Football on October 16, the Jets again lost to the New England Patriots 27-25. In a report by MStarz.com, both Michael Vick and Smith have been incapable in the present NFL season that some fans are beginning to call for Tebow to return. The New York Jets now have a 1-6 record, last place in AFC East.

Tebow has created a reputation for his excellent work ethic. Even after he was released by the Patriots in August 2013, Tebow continued to train to improve his throwing ability and maintain his strength and conditioning. Last summer, he shared how he was in the best shape of his life and throwing better than he ever did while in the NFL. Tebow is generally a good leader and playmaker, which the Jets desperately need in the meantime. He has the ability to inspire and strengthen teammates, a skill Vick and Smith obviously lacks in the current season.
