One Direction's resident Casanova Harry Styles hasn't gone steady with any one particular girl in the past few months. But now, photographs are showing him dating writer and actress Erin Foster, who, at 32, is 12 years older than the singer.
Despite the more-than-a-decade gap, Erin is not the "oldest" Harry's ever dated (and that's another story).
Interestingly, the British heartthrob reportedly met his current squeeze via Kimberly Stewart, who he "had a brief fling with last year," according to the Daily Mail. Kimberly is 14 years older than the 20-year-old 1D member.
"Erin and Harry met through Kimberly Stewart over a year ago and stayed in touch. Erin's dad David is a top music producer and a good friend of Kimberly's dad Rod," a source was quoted as saying. "He first met Erin at Penny Lancaster's birthday last year and they've been hanging out in LA."
Erin was linked to Ryan Gosling and even Samantha Ronson in the past. She's also one of Nicole Richie's BFFs and is the daughter of prolific songwriter David Foster, Yahoo! News UK & Ireland noted. With this last bit, it can be said that an appreciation for music and the arts could have made this pair gel - and maybe the opportunity for Harry to work with her father?
She and her pop star date were recently seen visiting a pumpkin patch in Los Angeles.
"After visiting the pumpkin patch, they went for dinner. It's nothing serious, but they're both having fun," the insider revealed.
It's a known fact that Harry is drawn to older women ever since he was reported dating 34-year-old Caroline Flack, a TV host. He's also been said to look up to Katy Perry, who's also years older than him.
Given the relatively short shelf lives of Harry's ladyloves, we're wondering whether his liaison with Kimberly will last for more than just a couple of weeks or months.
Recently, talk has it that Harry's ex Taylor Swift has written another song about him, and even released the track in question, "Out of the Woods."
Harry is allegedly currently feeling awkward about the latest release as it has prompted him to defend her from some of his pals making nasty jokes and comments about his ex.
"This new song has put Harry in an awkward position because he's being forced to defend her! All his friends are making fun of Taylor over this, calling her names like 'Bunny Boiler' and 'Cray Tay,'" a source told Hollywood Life. "Harry doesn't want to be mean to her, he genuinely feels bad that he hurt her, so now he's stuck defending her, it's just awkward."
