Jennifer Lawrence is Vanity Fair's November issue cover girl. As such, the magazine carries an exclusive and lengthy interview with the outspoken actress. And now that the issue's digital edition has been made available online, many have been gleaning the material for J-Law quotable quotes.

One of those fished out by observers and held up for all to notice is a passage that apparently took a dig at her rumored boyfriend Chris Martin's ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow.

The "Hunger Games" star was described in Vanity Fair as "the anti-vegan, anti-gluten-free consumer, having just eaten a breakfast of spaghetti and meatballs before the interview."

"Although she can overlook the vegan preferences of her friend and Hunger Games co-star Woody Harrelson, she seems to be suspicious of similar health-food trends, describing gluten-free as 'the new cool eating disorder,' the 'basically I just don't eat carbs,'" the paragraph went.

Even though her "Mockingjay" co-star was the one referenced regarding the gluten-free comment, some were able to see through it and branded it as a veiled diss against her new love's former spouse, who is widely known as a clean-living, healthy eating advocate, as proven by her site Goop.

Will Chris step in the fray and choose sides should this issue escalate? So far, the Coldplay frontman has not said a word about Jen's comments.

Jennifer has been known to be unfussy about her eating habits, happily chowing down chips and other types of junk food when the occasion calls for it. She had even revealed in the Vanity Fair interview that she would like to have a boyfriend who shares the same kind of love for food and eating as her.

Gwyneth's reaction?

Meanwhile, Hollywood Life said that an insider intimated that Gwyneth was not happy by Jennifer's diss.

"Her first reaction was anger, she wanted to retaliate because Jennifer's comment was downright ignorant and mean, gluten-free is not some new eating disorder and it pisses her off that Jennifer would try to paint it that way," the source told the site.

"But she calmed down and realized that the best defense is a good offense, that's why she's making it known that she wants to meet Jennifer. She's not going to stoop to Jennifer's level, at least not publicly. She's going to in the opposite direction, kill 'em with kindness, as the saying goes," the mole added.

Earlier reports have said that the 42-year-old actress had wanted to "spend time" with the "American Hustle" star as she allegedly "wants to be sure about her" before Chris introduces Jen to the kids, according to the Daily Mail.
