Apple could ride the momentum of the successful launching of its larger iPhones last month with four possible product launches this October.

Stuff of New Zealand reported that rumors are already growing rife that Apple is just days away from making several product announcements.

On Friday, tech site Re/code announced that Apple will hold an iPad event on October 16 at Apple Town Hall Auditorium in Cupertino, California.

More than giving a preview of the latest version of its iPad Air and iPad mini, Apple is reportedly planning to unveil its newest iMac and the OS X Yosemite.

The Daily Mail reported that Apple has earlier planned to launch its other new products on October 21, almost a week after its iPad event. But it appears that the company will just bundle the product announcements together on October 16.

Last week, rumors circulated that Apple is already on the finishing touches of the iPad Air 2 including the gadget's gold version, cited the Daily Mail report.

Along with iPad Air 2, speculations of an iPad mini 3 circulated in the tech community like the proverbial wildfire that Apple product announcements usually generate.

Stuff said that the updated iPads would likely sport some of the latest features of the larger iPhones including Apple Pay, which enable users to pay for goods through an app that holds payment details and a tap of their device on tap-and-go terminals.

In addition to the new lines of iPads, a new line of iMacs with ultra high-resolution Retina Displays is in final testing phase, which Apple would also unveil this month, hinted 9to5Mac.

The same report said that the new iMac will be launched along with Apple's newest operating system, the OS X Yosemite.

Apple has used the same ultra high-resolution Retina Displays on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The latest iMac will feature a thin profile just like the current design, introduced in 2012, but it will be loaded with upgraded internals including faster processors and improved WiFi antennas, detailed 9to5Mac.

The Daily Mail also added that Apple's iPad event on October 16 is meant to increase the company's sales figures on its full-size tablets, which have been in a decline in the past couple of quarters.

The past iPads have been made available in a mono-chromatic color scheme. The new iPads would have a golden makeover and a thinner, more rounded design patterned after the new and larger iPhones, the Daily Mail added.

The latest version of the iPad could include a golden metal cover as well as the silver and grey currently offered for the iPad Air, the site said.

Apple has not confirmed any of these rumors.
