A 31-year-old legless man was able to scale a 2,000-meter mountain path and reach the peak in four hours.

Double-leg amputee Chen Zhou used only his hands, weighted blocks, chains, and the assistance of helpful onlookers to reach the summit, which made him the first man to scale a mountain in such a manner. His wife was waiting for him at the top of the mountain to congratulate him.

Zhou, who hails from Cangshan in Shandong province of China, had lost his legs when he fell off a train at age 13, the Daily Mail noted. Apparently, this did not stop the man from attempting such a challenging feat.

If this feat left you awestruck, you'll be surprised to know this is not the first time he's ever done such a challenge.

Two years ago, he climbed with his hands and arms to the summit of Huashan Mountain in Huayin, Shaanxi province in China. The feat took him 19 hours to complete. His wife and kids were there to greet him when he reached the peak. Previously, he had taken on and conquered China's five mountains, the British publication noted.

Cue "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" - this man certainly isn't afraid of mountains!

Zhou is not the only amputee who has achieved such feats. Norman Croucher, aged 74, was able to scale a mountain in the French Alps this year.

The Devon native also lost his legs in an incident involving a train. In his case, he was hit by one as a teenager.

"He was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and started planning the fundraising trip to climb the mountain, Le Brevent, while he was having chemotherapy," the BBC said.

Furthermore, another double amputee, Spencer West, was able to reach the top of Mount Kilimanjaro using his hands in 2012, The Huffington Post reported. The 33-year-old was able to raise about half a million dollars for charity as a result of his accomplishment.
