NHL Trade Rumors: Top Unrestricted Free Agents for 2015

A number of top NHL players are bound to turn into unrestricted free agents in 2015, causing teams to free up salary space to accommodate their specific needs.

1. Jason Spezza

The Rangers went as far as the finals in the playoffs but lost to the Los Angeles Kings in five games. St. Louis was a crucial part of the team's offense. He joined the Rangers on March 5, 2014 from Tampa Bay for Ryan Callahan plus a conditional 2014 second-round pick.

4. Marc-Andre Fleury

The goaltender of the Pittsburgh Penguins will reportedly acquire unrestricted free agent status in 2015 with a salary cap hit of $5 million, based on a report by ESPN.com. Fleury was drafted first overall by the Penguins in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. After playing for five years with the Penguins, Fleury won a Stanley Cup championship in 2009. He is expected to continue being a starter for the team.
