The new Batmobile is here, and it doesn't look like anything we've seen before.

On Wednesday, director Zack Snyder of "300" fame tweeted an image of the new Batmobile. Hero Complex for the Los Angeles Times said Snyder's sneak peek was his response to the many leaked photos of the vehicle that have been posted online as of late.

Wired said that the new Batmobile is unlike any other versions of the iconic vehicle in the Batman franchise. Gone is the sleek stylish car seen in the earlier Batman films. While it's a given that the Dark Knight will be fighting a lot of crimes in the city, by the looks of it, it seems the Batmobile was built for war.

Gizmodo said that the image was photographed by Clay Enos, whom Snyder credited in the tweet. Snyder said in a separate tweet, "Photo Credit @ClayEnos RT: iPhone photography is great but some things deserve more. (Nikon D800 ISO 500 24mm f/11 1/25th sec) Thanks Clay!"

Hero Complex recalled that the "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie was among the favorite topics of discussion at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego for several things.

As fans applauded the choice of having "Man of Steel" actor Henry Cavill reprise his role as the ill-fated Clark Kent/Superman, many were surprised with the casting of award-winning actor, Ben Affleck, to play the grittier version of Batman. Moreover, the film is set to introduce a more gothic version of Wonder Woman in the person of Gal Gadot.

The Israeli actress is a familiar face in the "Fast & Furious" series, but little is known about Gadot being able to pull off Wonder Woman in the film.

Another surprising addition to the cast is the "Social Network" star, Jesse Eisenberg, who will portray the role of Lex Luthor. Will the full, curly-haired geek in films be able to portray the traditional bald, burly and middle-aged villain we have come to know in the comic books and earlier movies?

Snyder assured fans back in March that all is good. He told Hero Complex, "We know the material ... we're casting according to what's happening in the script. And we're hoping that leads to enough originality, enough perspective on what we're doing that you get something fresh and exciting. I understand the canon. I'm not crazy. I know what these characters need from a mythological standpoint."

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will open in 3D on March 25, 2016. The film date was originally pegged on May 6th, which is the same release date of Marvel's third "Captain America" movie.
