Will there be no Kim Kardashian in reality television soon? There have been rumors circulating on the web that the famous selfie-obsessed star may no longer film for "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," which would be debuting its 10th season.
Earlier reports say Kim, along with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, are refusing to film for their original reality show series and its spin-offs until the case of the robberies, suspected to be all inside jobs, have been resolved soon, Daily Mail said. On the other hand, Kim's future on reality television seems to be on the hands of someone else, and not really a decison the star will be making alone.
Citing a source by Sunday People newspaper, Contactmusic said that Kim would be quitting reality television soon because of her husband, rapper Kanye West. West, who is known to be unfriendly with paparazzi, reportedly wanted to keep his privacy, and is urging Kim to do the same. The source added that Kim is supposedly coming around with the suggestion, just like a good wife.
"He wants to live his life in private and he just thinks Kim would be better off doing the same. She is gradually coming around to the same thinking. But it's a difficult one for her because most of her family rely on her being there selling her life to the cameras. It is very likely that she will bow out shortly, though the series is still such a massive hit," the source said.
The Mirror, citing the same source, said Kanye also suggested Kim to take the route Victoria Beckham had taken after Spice Girls. Victoria is now considered to be a high-fashion icon thanks to her clothing business. Kanye himself is a major presence in fashion circles, so there is no question why he would not want his wife to take this road.
The rumor about Kim leaving the show has been buzzing since early this year. E! Online said Kim herself has slammed the rumors in March. In a tweet, Kim wrote then, "Heard a silly rumor that I'm quitting the show! Not true! Can't wait to film season 10 soon! I have the best job being w my fam all day long."
Although there has been no word from Kim's camp about the latest rumors, we could still expect her presence in "KWUTK" Season 10 at least. That would surely give Mrs. West a lot of time to ponder on her next move in her reality television career.
