Although Nicki Minaj's latest single "Anaconda" is still at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100 hits, she has claimed victory over the fact that she has surpassed Michael Jackson's own record.

The King of Pop has a total of 50 Billboard 100 hits, while Minaj, with her current track's presence on the same chart, now has a total of 51 hits, The Daily Mail noted.

"Made history today I didn't even know I was tied with Michael Jackson with 50 Hot 100 entries on Billboard. Anaconda makes 51 and now I'm tied with Rod Stewart. God bless, and thank you," read the 31-year-old artist's post on her Instagram account.

While it's a great accomplishment for Minaj, some entertainment sites believe that the rapper should not forget about some important facts.

Digital Spy pointed out, "However, of Minaj's 51 singles, only 20 feature her as the lead artist, with 31 guest features. All of Jackson's 50 Hot 100 hits feature him as the lead or co-lead."

In celebration of this record-breaking victory, Minaj will be performing the track at this year's MTV Video Music Awards on August 24. It will be her third time to perform at the said event. The last time she did, she performed with Alicia Keys for the 2012 hit "Girl On Fire."

"The VMAs is a pretty big deal so people go all out for it. I am very, very excited and looking forward to the performance," Minaj was quoted as saying by E! News.

Will the rapper wear her "scandalous" outfit while performing the song? It can be remembered that the singer's artwork for the single showed her "in Air Jordans, a pink sports bra and a matching G-string!"

The racy artwork effectively got the attention of fans and entertainment industry denizens, with Miley Cyrus Photoshopping her "Hannah Montana" face on Minaj's and creating the now viral "Hannah Conda" meme.

So, what's the fuss about the song? Apparently, based on the cover image, Minaj sings about "buns." And the fact that "My anaconda don't want none / Unless you got buns, hun."

If you're still missing the point, let this pre-hook passage make it clearer:

"Oh my gosh, look at her butt

Oh my gosh, look at her butt

Oh my gosh, look at her butt

(Look at her butt)

Look at, look at, look at

Look, at her butt"
