Apple will be releasing another slew of new products, and the next generation smartphone, the iPhone 6, is set to be released in September.

According to a report by Christian Post, however, it seems like fans of the gadget giant will have to wait a little longer, because the newest line will not be available until October.

Reports over the past few months pointed at a September release, but a report from MacRumors claimed that Apple is planning for an October release.

AppleInsider, however, pointed out that the rumored October 14 release is a Tuesday, which is unlikely, considering that Apple has been known to release their devices on Fridays, and the month-long wait is also questionable, since Apple releases their products a week after the unveiling.

Usually.

But it seems that the newest from Apple is not faring as well as they'd hope. LEDinside analysts from market research firm, Trendforce, noted that there isn't exactly a spike of sapphire glass in the company's production line, suggesting that they may not be in a hurry to roll-out their new products in September, considering that the pricey gem is going to be added to the latest generation of Apple's smartphones.

The analyst said, "The sapphire material is still being applied in new generation Apple smartphones camera lenses and fingerprint recognition readers. If the new iPhone keeps up Apple's previous smartphone models hot selling records, sapphire demands will be driven by the smartphone's applications till the end of this year.

"However, the much anticipated sapphire cover glass remains missing from the picture. Analysis of the iPhone 6 supply chain indicates related component suppliers need to ship products to OEMs for assembly in June 2014 to meet the September launch date. Yet, the research institute did not discover demands for smartphone cover glass. The sapphire glass version new iPhone will be issued in limited volumes this year, mostly because sapphire ingot manufacturers yield rates were lower than forecasts and issues involved in sapphire glass processing."

But then again, the company could opt to release the sapphire-glass phones to a limited number of products only.

The rumored specs also include an Apple A8 chip, with features such as Near Field Communication for mobile payments, Touch ID, and a more improved camera. As for the case color, it will come in the usual: Silver, Gold, and Space Gray.

Will you be in line to get the latest from Apple?
