Tim Tebow is set for a big comeback in the NFL. His latest training regimen involves playing volleyball using a medicine ball.

In June 2014, the former Heisman trophy winner revealed that he has not given up his dream of becoming one of the premier quarterbacks in the league. Tebow shared that he continues to train every day to prepare for his return to the NFL.

According to USA Today, Tebow has been working out in Phoenix together with training expert Ian Danney. The QB described his recent training approach as unique. Danney had Tebow use a medicine ball weighing 10 pounds while playing a game similar to volleyball. The two referred to it as "Danney-ball". A video clip showed Tebow's unorthodox volleyball-style training under the guidance of Ian Danney in Phoenix. (Watch below)

Tim also trains with baseball pitching expert Tom House in Los Angeles to improve his throwing technique. Tebow said that he shifts between the Performance Enhancement Professionals facility in Scottsdale Arizona and Los Angeles to upgrade his skills and maintain his conditioning.

Tebow is currently working as a football analyst for ESPN and will start on the SEC Network in August 2014. One of the stipulations of his contract is that he can exit his job as an analyst to play for the NFL when an opportunity opens.

According to NBC Sports, Tebow is optimistic that an NFL team will sign him soon. He said, "I'm training every day and feel like I'm the best that I've ever been. I still love it, love playing, talking about it, and I'm just excited about whatever the future holds. Who knows what could happen? But I'm excited about it, though." He added, "I feel great. I feel the strongest, healthiest, throwing the best I ever have. I'm just really excited about the improvement."

In 2013, the New England Patriots showed interest in acquiring Tebow., but was cut off before the season. Other leagues like the Canadian Football League and Arena Football League also expressed their interest in having Tebow join them, particularly Gene Simmons and the LA Kiss. However, Tebow has set his sights only on the NFL. Tebow was drafted by the Denver Broncos before being transferred after the team made room for Peyton Manning. Since his stint with the ESPN, fans have been giving positive feedback on his performance on the shows.

The 2014 NFL season is set to start in September 2014.
