Bad news for Grand Theft Auto fans: The Epoch Times has confirmed that the screenshot about GTA V Veteran update, which has been circling the net lately, is false.

Apparently, the veteran update is a fake, so says popular GTA blogger, DomisLive.

The update, which was believed to be released in July, was said to contain "two new, but reclaimed vehicles: the APC tank and the Hunter attack chopper. Blast your enemies with the new F12AL Rifle and M225 LMG, both available from Ammu-Nation stores. Also introducing the Hitman stat that allows you to dual-wield pistols and SMGs. Improve your rank and take down enemies easier across San Andreas."

The blogger posted a video addressing the fake update, with a screenshot that partially read, "Show your inner military personality and express yourself in new ways with the Veteran Update coming this July."

DomisLife laughed off the image as a fake though, saying that the screenshot is "a complete joke." He was also laughing as he asked, "Dual-wield in GTA?"

The blogger and YouTube personality shared that people have been tweeting him regarding the screenshot and is unsure whether or not Twitter users are trolling him.

Besides, the "update" is not the way of "leakers." According to him, GTA V leakers post the source codes of the upcoming updates, not screenshots from the game itself. He successfully predicted the "I'm not a Hipster" DLC, so we can take his word for these kinds of information.

Rockstar did not comment on the veteran update, but in a statement, the company did update fans on the Heists, saying, "This week, we've rounded up a selection of Jobs created specifically in tribute to classic Grand Theft Auto missions from GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas and GTAIV. There's also a couple of Jobs themed around Chinatown Wars, set in a Los Santos slice of the Far East around Textile City,"

One of the jobs included the final mission in GTA III, which was "reimagined as a Deathmatch alongside the Land Act Dam."

There were no more updates after that, but with a source code he managed to acquire, DomisLive reported that in the game, the minimum payout for doing a house can climb up to $100,000.

But the source code can change, and it is possible for Rockstar to change it before the update does come out.

For other GTA news, Rockstar posted via Newswire that the limited-time content of the GTA Online Independence Day Special is still available, but there is less than a week left for players to acquire cool vehicles like the Sovereign motorcycle and Liberator monster truck, along with weapons such as the Musket and the Firework Rocket Launcher.
