Things are looking up for "Glee" actress, Lea Michele. After the loss of her on- and off-screen boyfriend last year, the trooper actress managed to pick herself up and went on with her life.

For one, she started dating again, and for another, she's taking up new, challenging projects outside of the comedy-musical series.

For her new role, it looks like Rachel Berry has given up on Broadway and decided to become a truck-stop waitress instead.

No, not really, but with Glee's final season still ways away, Lea Michele did make the time to take on more projects, and she recently took to Twitter that her next role is that of a waitress in her favorite television show: "Sons of Anarchy."

She wrote, "I'll be appearing on an episode of my favorite show @SonsofAnarchy! Thank you so much @Harparbar & @sutterink #SOAFX,"

From a singing sensation to a truck-stop waitress? Why not?

According to Entertainment Weekly,  Michele will be playing the role of Gertie, "an empathetic truck-stop waitress and single mother, who connects with Gemma (Katey Sagal) during a difficult time."

This isn't the first time that the two shows crossed paths. SOA's creator, Kurt Sutter's wife, Katey Sagal, the star of the show, has made an appearance on the comedy-musical playing the Artie's (Kevin McHale's) mother.

Neither is this the show's first time casting a child-friendly star into its seemingly unwelcoming universe. MTV mentioned that after all, Ashley Tisdale was cast as a call girl in the show's fifth season.

Sutter has already teased the casting announcement during the SOA Comic-Con panel, but he did not give the specifics.

Michele will be joining a slew of stars who will fill the guest list for season 7. Others confirmed are Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson.

"Glee" will not be returning until 2015 for its abbreviated final season, with Michele taking on her role as Rachel Berry. Most of the original cast will be returning for the final season, but with the alleged rift that has happened between Michele and co-star, Naya Rivera (who just recently tied the knot), it seems that Santana Lopez will be going back to the series with only a recurring role to her credit.

"Sons of Anarchy," on the other hand, will return for its seventh season on September 9 at 10 p.m., to be followed by a live post-show, Anarchy Afterward.

Michele will be appearing in the upcoming season's sixth episode, which will be on air on October 14.
