Not long ago, Hollywood power couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, announced that they will be co-starring in a new film, "By the Sea," almost 10 years since their last cinematic collaboration, 2005's "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."

"Jolie has confirmed she will be writing and directing the drama, which she will star in alongside her partner," The Guardian noted.

"It's not a big movie, it's not an action movie. It's the kind of movie we love but aren't often cast in. It's a very experimental, independent-type film where we get to be actors together and be really raw, open, try things," Angelina was quoted by the British publication as saying.

And now, it appears that the A-list couple will exchange their vows on the said film, an insider told The Hollywood Reporter.

"The famously unmarried duo will play a married couple," THR said. "Universal, which bought worldwide rights to the drama that Jolie (UTA, Sloane Offer) wrote and will direct, is staying mum on details, but a source tells THR that the pair, who will produce, will be hitched onscreen."

Will this wedding scene be merely simulated, as is the case with all other cinematic weddings? Or will this actually be the real deal masquerading as a movie moment?

If the ceremony is real, the film is a perfect vehicle for capturing such a momentous event in the lives of Brangelina, who have stubbornly resisted tying the knot for various reasons. They have, however, apparently gradually changed their tune since their children reportedly asked for them to make things official. And they even are becoming wedding planners of the event.

"We will get married, and we're not in a rush, so we're just waiting for it to be the right time with the kids, with work, when it feels right," Ange told People in an earlier interview. "We talk about it occasionally, and the kids talk about it with us."

"We are discussing it with the children and how they imagine it might be. Which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding. They will in a way be the wedding planners," the "Maleficent" star shared, as noted by The Daily Mail. "It's going to be Disney or paintball - one or the other!"

Or perhaps the wedding scene is just a repeat of what could have already happened? Angie did call Brad her "husband" back in May during her promotional tour for "Maleficent," prompting speculations that the engaged star may have already walked the aisle without the rest of the world knowing.

"I feel very fortunate, there are so many mothers who don't have the ability I do to work and then have time off or to take turns with their partner, I have a great husband in Brad, so I feel very lucky," the actress revealed, according to Glamour.

"By the Sea" will reportedly be shot in Malta, which also served as the location for "World War Z."

"They'll be filming in Mgarr ix-Xini Bay in Gozo," a source told Us Weekly. "The whole family will be staying in Malta for eight weeks, arriving at the end of August."
