Earlier, it was reported that "Glee" actress Naya Rivera was spotted with Ryan Dorsey on her Mexican holiday. Less than 24 hours after the sighting, the news emerged that the couple are actually already married to each other!
We bet Gleeks are doing a collective gasp that could be heard around the world at this development. Especially considering the fact that it's just been three months since Naya and Big Sean's engagement was called off.
That's not all - apparently, the actress married her beau on the same date of her original wedding to her ex-fiance, according to The Daily Mail.
"On Tuesday Naya Rivera appeared to be in newlywed bliss as she frolicked in a swimsuit in Los Cabos, Mexico," the British publication reported. "The 27-year-old 'Glee' alum also managed to change her Twitter handle that same day to Naya Rivera Dorsey as new information about her wedding on Saturday has emerged."
It also happens that July 19th, the day they exchanged vows, is Ryan's 31st birthday. What a coincidence! Did Naya consider this as one of the signs that they were fated?
"Naya didn't tell most of her friends that she was marrying Ryan Dorsey, let alone that she was dating him! The whole thing is a complete surprise," an insider told Us Weekly. The entertainment news source also noted that Big Sean was in, coincidentally, "nearby Cabo San Lucas in Punta Mita, Mexico, recording with newlywed rapper, Kim Kardashian's husband Kanye West."
Naya also got Kim's hairstylist do her tresses on her wedding day. "A source close to Rivera also revealed that the sitcom star's Monique Lhuillier dress 'looks a lot like the one Kim married Kanye in,'" the site added.
Meanwhile, the Latina beauty's new father-in-law revealed that he only knew about the wedding just six weeks ago, The Daily Mail said.
"It was a bit of a shock," Arnold Dorsey, Ryan's dad, said. "I met Naya a couple of weeks ago, I was working in California and I drove up to her house. She's very tiny, real petite, but real down to earth, not with her nose stuck up in the air."
The secret wedding had only 12 guests in attendance, plus the minister. "Among the group were Naya's mother Yolanda and her stepfather - however the brunette's father, George Rivera, didn't attend," the news source shared.
Mr. Dorsey further revealed that his son had actually met Naya four years ago. "He was a playboy, he didn't want to settle down, he wanted to concentrate on his work. But they remained friends and I guess they hooked up after the engagement from Big Sean was dropped," he said.
"We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife," the newlyweds told People. "Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for."
