Former quarterback for the New York Jets and Denver Broncos, Tim Tebow, is back in Jacksonville, purchasing a home in the process.

In a report by Pro Football Talk, the estate was worth $1.4 million and used to be owned by David and Virginia Bailey. The property is located at Glen Kernan Golf & Country Club in Southside. A deed of sale was filed on July 14, 2014. The sale was officially recorded on July 18 although it closed on June 27, 2014, based on the property records of Duval County.

The home features four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms and sits on a lot measuring 31,790 square feet. In 2009, the Baileys bought the property for $1.375 million.

Although Tebow is currently out of work, he remains hopeful that he will be acquired by an NFL team and fulfill his dream of becoming a top quarterback. According to an article by Fox Sports, Gene Simmons, who recently formed L.A. Kiss of the Arena Football League has been hoping to sign the athlete.

Tebow used to be the full-time starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos in 2011 but was traded to the Jets, allowing the Broncos to acquire Peyton Manning. Jets released Tebow after acquiring Geno Smith. Tebow was last cut from New England in 2013 when teams were required to maintain their rosters at 53 only. Currently, he works as a college football analyst for ESPN, writes Fox Sports.

Tebow said after being cut by the Patriots, "I will remain in relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback." He continues to train and stay in shape to be acquired as a quarterback. He also passively turned down offers to play in Arena Football League. Even a Russian team was interested in signing him. However, experts said that teams who want Tebow may be choosing him because of his popularity, and not because of his football skills.

The former Gator was team captain in 2008 and 2009 and received the most valuable player award from the team three times from 2007 to 2009. However, the Heisman trophy winner's days with the NFL may be already over despite his optimism and strong faith to return. Tebow is only 26 years old but his time may have already run out. It may be better for him to excel in his new field as an analyst. The move back to Jacksonville may be the best first step towards change.
